I don’t actually know the answer to this one but I was thinking treasure or novelty items.  I see many things that people buy that I would love to buy but I’m sure they bought them thinking they needed them.  I don’t buy many things so I can’t put this in perspective, I’m not sure how many things I have that other people need and don’t know it.

Of course if you are the ignorant man that doesn’t know you need it then you are just as happy.  But once you see something and buy it you are no longer ignorant and therefore don’t see the purpose of the item except for material pleasure.

This is how I feel about Crankshaft.  I own it and now the only reason I need it is to tell the world who doesn’t know that they need it.  But once they see the website, in someway they already own it and therefore don’t need it.

I see this going a bit deeper as in the first paragraph, that people do need it to show others their style and grace.  But until they buy it, they will not realize that by not buying it, they are not showing others, the one’s who don’t know that they really do need it.
